Broken by server upgrade

I've been using POPFile with Netscape Communicator 4.79 for years and years now, because I was never able to get Thunderbird to import my folder structure. Today, my ISP upgraded my account to some new infra, and I can't seem to get POPFile + Netscape to 'talk' to the POP server.

My ISP says the big difference is that the POP user name is now jon@midnightbeach.com, not jon. I followed the instructions at http://getpopfile.org/docs/howtos:mozilla_netscape, and set the Mail Server Properties / User Name to mail.midnightbeach.com:jon@midnightbeach.com.

But! When I press Ctrl+T to get mail, I get a Password Entry Dialog that wants the Password for mail user mail.midnightbeach.com:jon@127.0.0.1.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
