Configure The Bat! for POPFile

1. Load The Bat, then select Properties from the Account menu.
2. Click on the Transport option in the list to the left.
3. Write down the name of your POP3 server in the Mail Server field (e.g..pop3.yourisp.com) and then replace this with 127.0.0.1 .
4. In the Username box, put the original POP server followed by a colon : to the front of the username that is already in the box, e.g, if username was username and original POP server was pop.myisp.net, then the box should contain pop.myisp.net:username.
5. Click OK.

If your ISP requires SMTP authentication for sending mail, you will also have to configure your username and password as follows:

1. Select Properties from the Account menu.
2. Click on the Transport option in the list to the left.
3. Click the SMTP Authentication button.
4. check the use SMTP Authentication box.
5. Check the use using specific settings box.
6. Fill in your “real” username and password.
7. Click OK, Click OK.
