This is an old revision of the document!
There are now three versions of POPFile:
For Windows, POPFile comes with an installer that helps you setup POPFile and get started.
For Mac OS X, POPFile comes with an installer that helps you setup POPFile and get started. There are two Mac OS X installers to choose from because OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) uses a different version of Perl from the earlier versions of OS X. The current POPFile package for Mac OS X is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion). We are working to build the Lion-compatible version. Please wait for a while.
The Cross Platform version can be used on any platform (including Windows) where Perl and the necessary modules are installed.
These tarballs are updated every two hours from our subversion repository. The trunk is only for development purposes and testing and should currently not be used in production. The 0_22_2 branch is the subversion branch that leads to the next release of POPFile and you should generally be able to use it on a daily basis (YMMV, though). It is the branch where POPFile 1.x.x comes from.
