What is the history?

The history tab in the POPFile UI shows you the messages recently classified by POPFile. You can have a closer look at the messages here and you can reclassify single messages or complete bunches of messages.

By default, POPFile will keep two days of history. You can change this setting on the configuration tab. You can safely remove messages from the history by using the remove controls.

What is kept in or removed from the history will in no way change the classfications of future messages. POPFile stores the information necessary for successful categorization in its corpus. Thus if you want to clean up your history, you can do so without fear of loosing anything vital. It might also be worth mentioning that there is no connection between POPFile's history and your mail client. If you delete a message in one of these, it won't have any effect on the other.
