POPFile1.1.1 fails on launch in Snow Leopard

Severity: crash Keywords: Snow Leopard

Description

Hi! I had an old POPFile installation on Leopard that was migrated to Snow Leopard during a new clean erase and install and data migration. I didn't try to use it before assuming there would be updates. After I saw the Snow Leopard compatible new version, I installed POPFile 1.1.1. today thanks!). Starting POPFile with the start-popfile-with-console script gives these errors:

dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr

Referenced from: /Library/POPFile/lib/auto/Net/SSLeay/SSLeay.bundle Expected in: dynamic lookup

dyld: Symbol not found: _Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr

Referenced from: /Library/POPFile/lib/auto/Net/SSLeay/SSLeay.bundle Expected in: dynamic lookup

Trace/BPT trap

I didn't find any reference to this in the help forum search. Any ideas what's wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks,

Klaus

Hi,

The Net::SSLeay perl module may be old and not compatible with Snow Leopard. Please update the module using 'POPFile-addssl-1.1.1-sl' package included in the installer.
