control font size in the POPFile UI

Description

As far as I can see, there's no way to control the font size in the POPFile UI. I've added the POPFile UI as an extra folder in Outlook (see http://getpopfile.org/docs/howtos:outlooktoday), but for some reason the font is too large (See shot: I want the font as small as the left pane). This makes it nearly unusable as a folder in Outlook.

Your example shows the 'simplyblue' UI skin. This is the default UI skin (even though there is another skin called 'default').

The "Configuration" page in the UI offers 25 other skins, some of which use smaller fonts.

I have attached an example comparing the "simplyblue" and "smalldefault" skins.

Skins are defined using HTML templates and a stylesheet. Extra skins can be added to your POPFile installation so it is possible to adjust an existing skin. Further information is available in the wiki, e.g. http://getpopfile.org/docs/faq:skins

Thanks, excellent advice! I think it should go into the FAQ.

I tried "tinygray" and it works fine in Outlook, and also in Firefox at 4x zoom. I checked the stylesheet and it doesn't have fixed font sizes (only sizes expressed as percentage), so this should be closed.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

I think it should go into the FAQ.

That is a good idea. I've created a page called "How can I make the POPFile UI use a different font size?" and linked to it from the Miscellaneous section of the FAQ.

this should be closed

OK, I'll close this ticket.
