I have been using POPFile for many years. I love this tool and use it with Outlook Express. However, last month, Verizon sent an email dictating that the following changes must be made to my email account:
# Incoming mail server (POP3): incoming.verizon.net
# Incoming Server Port Numbers: 995
# Outgoing mail server (SMTP): outgoing.verizon.net
# Outgoing Server Port Numbers: 465
# Make sure SSL encryption is enabled for the incoming and outgoing mail server.
I made the changes (with the appropriate provisions for POPFile) and ever since POPFile has not worked. I have tried fresh uninstall/re-installs. I have researched the POPFile FAQs, searched the internet and even called Verizon Customer Support. I have changed POPFile settings, still to no avail. I really want to continue using POPFile. Can someone please help me with this problem.
