Description

When I start Popfile I get the message "access error: 404 not found". The URL is "localhost:8080"

I am running Windows 8. I uninstalled an reinstalled Popfile a few times and still get this error. When installing, the program hangs on something like "404 not found" then it continues.

Please help! I love using popfile!!

Are you still able to download mail? Is POPFile still classifying it?

Try restarting your computer. If you are unsure how see here: ​http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restart-windows

Turning it off and on may not truly restart Windows 8. It prefers to go into sleep mode instead.

Here's the troubleshooting for connecting to UI: http://getpopfile.org/docs/troubleshooting:connectionui

Please try 2nd, 5th and 6th. If the problem still exists, try 8th to 11th.

The error code 404 means 'The requested page is not found'. I wonder the other program is running on port 8080.
